25. The Benefits of a Federated Governance of a Large Landmass as a Single Entity
How does a federated governance structure benefit a large land mass as a single entity?

I have also wanted to see the large land mases to be governed as a single country entity as a federal democratic mixed economic system. Mixed economic systems are sometimes called as democratic socialism. The benefits are huge and numerous.
Quoting from the references below:
A mixed economy bridges the gap between these two extremes. It incorporates elements of both capitalism and socialism, balancing private enterprise and market mechanisms with government regulation and social programs.
There are over 190 countries under the UN. Countries are born due to, primarily, the below reasons–
·      Homogenous cultures in a region or land mass
·      Historical differences
·      Religious affinities
·      Language barrier induced boundary conditions
·      Racial barrier induced boundary conditions
·      Clan/tribe/lineage/order induced boundary conditions
Now that we consider ourselves as a globalized village and we are far advanced as a knowledge powered society with superior science powered intelligence, we can settle our differences aside and look at how to leverage the economies of scale that will benefit not only the human species on this but also the other species covered by a large country landmasses and nearby water bodies.
Let us look at some of the huge benefits of a federal democratic mixed economic system:
1.     Spend on national security, education, health, national critical infrastructures (power plants, oil refineries, roadways, railway networks, smart-cities, harbours, airports, storage sites, markets, data networks/data centres etc.,), currency printing and management, investment in space and oceanic exploration and managing foreign relations can be optimized and highly focussed to gain maximum advantage to the entire land mass.
2.     Country level strategic economic planning will be sharp and be geared to extract maximum leverage out of the available resources in the landmass and for delivering benefits to the maximum possible beneficiaries including beneficiaries of other species.
3.    Federated democratic iron-clad constitution will enable the participating regions of the countries to actively vote to stay as part of the federation or to rejoin it later when any existing tensions are diffused. This will have the benefits of a safety value that relives pressure during tough conditions/situations. The one thing history has taught us is that any problem or opportunity has a time period associated with it.
4.    Planned and even-growths can be administered to all the participating regions in a just manner.
5.     Common natural resources can be leveraged to the fullest extent benefitting the country and its various regions first before considering the export opportunities.
6.     The tourism industry can be curated/groomed to the right extent considering the natural lay of land/water bodies, the forests and any national monuments present along with the focus on the local cultures.
7.     Outsourcing and offshoring can be considered to be done leveraging the various regions of the country first before considering the export opportunities.
8.     Similarly importing and immigration can be considered to be done leveraging the various regions of the country before considering the import options.
9.     A federal arrangement makes the country with large landmass very colourful and vibrant due to the bouquet of cultures present within its boundaries. This kind of DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) can foster innovation and creativity.
10. Due to homogenization and a sense of patriotism and belonging, the social acceptability within the boundary of the country becomes easy and natural with a wide set of options available to all to move around, work, socialize, raise-family and to live life to the fullest extent possible. Assuming good governance and adoption of the right value systems that aim to protect individual and group rights, this in turn, will reduce social evils like inbreeding, raise of evil sub-cultures like racism, organized crimes etc., Â
11. Managing the national health data, financial data, critical economic data, demographic information, data related to citizens/their PIIs etc., data grids and data centres etc., will be easy and the related IT spend will be optimal and justified not to mention the efficiency and effectiveness that can be derived from the centrally administered national level information technology, data governance and information security policies.
12. The spend on science and technology, innovation and R&D, fostering talent and harnessing the human resources of the country along with a sound educational policy benefitting all will be a huge blessing for all the citizens of the country.
13. For each of the benefits listed above we cannot ignore the economies of scale achieved due to the coverage of a large landmass with its huge population. Spend on the reactive health care, security, unemployment, rehabilitation services etc., can benefit big-time from central planning and from the resource administration/management point of view.
14. Some large industries like aviation, railways, space exploration, military technologies etc., can be better administered through the economy of a large land mass and its resources.
Hence, we should be bold enough to break boundary barriers and create large countries and where it is tougher to achieve, we should at least try to achieve a sustainable federated trade blocks with an common minimum set of goals aiming to benefit all the species inside that block to the maximum extent possible while being environmentally conscious and responsible.
