- 61. The Protagonist, The Antagonist and the Experiences Spectrum
All the important known scriptures of the world seem to point to the fact that the divine white light is in a state of mercy and bliss. In the experiences spectrum, one end represents the blissful, merciful and contented state (we can refer to this as the righteous state), while the other end represents the state of bloodlust, gore and brutality (we can refer this as the unjust state). The protagonist is representing and protecting the righteous state, and the antagonist is representing and promoting the unjust state. Based on the free will of the individual souls and the free will of the various manifested groups and also dependent on the various value systems adopted by the individual souls and the groups, all the souls and groups (with or without the hive intelligence) take one or more stances or positions on the experiences spectrum. Then the antagonist tries to lure the individual souls to his side by the promise of quick gains such as luxurious life, rapid wealth, pleasures beyond imaginations, unjust power gain and status gain and means to sustain (to dominate, violate and control mindset) the new normal but ill-gotten lives. This is just hedonism and beyond. Even there are lots of documented and undocumented cases of brutality in the animal, bird and plant kingdoms! On the other hand, the protagonist stands for truth, honesty and integrity. He also sees the need for the higher and finer aspects of existence. He sees kindness, compassion, empathy along with unselfish and caring and sharing mindsets (live and let-live mindset) that eventually lead to the blissful state. The path to the blissful state is thus strengthened by the protagonist by his protection and offensive/defensive actions. Similar to the other case, there are representations in the animal, bird and plant kingdoms on the higher, grander, finer aspects of life. A protagonist also sees the need to allow all that is permissible by nature (Hence, for instance, sex is not sin if it is in a socially acceptable and normal setting subscribing to the point of view that eating, sleeping and fornication are basic functions of the universe and is also considered as one of the fundamental tenants of the universe). The protagonist among other things understands that nature presents the queen bee/worker bee-settings and also the fiercely devoted wolf partners (please refer to the link in the reference section) and anything in-between. On the other hand, an antagonist needs to assert his power and thus he needs brute force and ruthless/pitiless attitudes and the related ways of workings. He also feeds himself by deriving pleasure out of the sufferings of the others. This mindset of the antagonist is the birthplace of psychopathic tendencies seen in some individual souls and groups (e.g. Mafia groups). Thus, the path to the brutal end of the experiences spectrum is seen to be derived through the acts of evil! One particular aspect of this pull-push state is worrisome. It is the state and safety of women of human species. The antagonist sometimes may see women as the one specimen that can reflect the maximum fear that he wants to see when unleashing the machinations of his evil mind. Hence women of humankind are more often times, victims of cruel sexual practices like sadomasochism, chocking etc., Even in a normal corporate environment, or in parts of societies where gay-networks as sub-culture exists, subtle (or direct) form of violence and humiliation of the women is sometimes seen occurring. Protagonist works his best to stop this rot. And indeed, these violations and humiliations of women should be STOPPED by adopting a variety of value systems and by activating the offensive/defensive systems of the community. It is said in some scriptures that in some other underworld realms, even the non-human aggressors too lookout for harming humans in general and that too women in particular. So, the women should understand this evil and peculiar but persistent threat in their minds and the driving psychological aspects and stay away from places where quick gains/pleasures exist. The general advice that, you should be mindful about the nature of help (employment, money, friendship, parties etc,) coming from obnoxious people should always be remembered and taught to those that do not know of this danger as yet. Even if not all, some of these help from obnoxious people may lead to unacceptable violence. - 60. To be a Sanyasi (Priest) or a Home maker?
Considering the divine energy layers, soul states and the pursuits-of-excellence, I would like you to consider the below table for some of the professions. Please note that a single person may represent more than one profession sometimes. Profession Main manifestation of KRIYA SAKTHI Main manifestation of GNANA SAKTHI Main manifestation of ICCHA SAKTHI Relation to Reverential ADI PARA SAKTHI Sports person Exercises, Practice, Sports activity Mental strength to perform Will power to excel To work is to worship (Karma yoga) TV, Media person Acting and other performance Mental strength to recreate/reaffirm/uphold truth Will power to be effective To work is to worship (Karma yoga) Scientist Experimenting, Researching, Teaching Mental strength to explore scientific knowledge areas and to add to it Will power to know To learn/know is to worship (Gnana yoga) Teacher Teaching, Coaching Mental strength to explore and teach knowledge areas Will power to change To learn/teach is to worship (Gnana yoga) Priest Praying, conduct masses, sermons, teaching Mental strength to explore spiritual knowledge areas and to add to it Will power to be uphold beliefs and faiths To be is to worship (Gnana yoga) Transcendentalist/ recluse seer Deep state meditation Mental strength is to attain Mukthi Will power to succeed To meditate is to worship (Kriya Yoga) Common man while praying daily Prayer Mental wish to be blessed Faith To pray is to worship (Bhakthi Yoga) In the above table, we can see how different professions use up the different layers of energy while being in pursuit of excellence. Thus, we come to the common questions that arise in human mind. 1. Is religion better than science? Not necessarily if we consider that the common endeavour is to explore and gain knowledge. While the application of science brings prosperity and external development, the application or use of religion brings content and internal development. Considering the effect on common man and his unbroken faith despite all odds, I will vote that religion has relatively a better function than science. But, this is my personal opinion. We cannot ignore the influence of medicine as a scientific field that takes care of humans/other souls in suffering. 2. Should the priest always practice solitude and/or celibacy(brahmacharya)? Not necessarily. But we can consider the below: Since we know that sometimes it takes multiple lifes to attain Mukthi, the concerned soul may be in advanced state and hence may opt for celibacy voluntarily. A good priest or a good scientist is relatively an advanced soul and hence if he produces offspring out of wedlock, these offsprings, sometimes may be beneficial for the whole society by what these offsprings try to achieve. Sometimes super souls look for the wombs hosted by or seeded by advanced souls. Hence one should not be too worried if a scientist remains unmarried out of free-will or a saint marries again after divorce as long as they stay in their path while in pursuit of excellence! Whether it is a priest or the scientist, sometimes solitude brings clarity and focus. 3. What is the role of sacraments/rituals? For the priest, his solitude combined with his sacraments/rituals may increase his ICCHA SAKTHI. Similarly, for the scientist his solitude and his experimental/researching rigor may increase his ICCHA SAKTHI. Always, the ICCHA SAKTHI of the advanced good souls is beneficial to the society. ICCHA SAKTHI also brings special siddhis or capabilities to the person who possess it. When both perform great commits (like how a priest uplifts the depressed devotee/baktha or the scientist discovers a path breaking discovery or innovation), the Law of Karma of the universe blesses them with positive karmic loads. - 59. Neti-Neti - Part 3 - About a concept on infinity
Please refer to the previous article on Neti-Neti at my blog - https://www.mayoan.com/post/50-neti-neti-part-2-more-on-the-concept-of-adhrsta From both the Prakruti and an individual soul point of view, when we move from the external worldly manifestation into the inner dimensions, we come across many continuums and ADHRSTA areas of knowledge. The Prakruti related continuum should be explored by scientists in general and the individual soul related continuum must be explored by a spiritualist in general. And of course, in areas like medicine a scientist may look into the soul’s inner dimensions and in the areas like cosmology, a spiritualist may need to look into the inner dimensions of the Prakruthi. We have always known how to tackle infinity though it is a mystery. We know that what we cannot measure, we cannot manage. Hence, we identified ways to measure infinity with analogue and digital means. In Zeno’s second paradox, named as Achilles and the Tortoise paradox, we solved the logic problem by defining unit of measures for both space and time. We did not approach the issue as a logic issue but as a space and time issue that needs to be solved by using a common reference point and the measure of space and time together with the rate of change. Suddenly by using units of measurements and having a common reference like the starting point in space, what is presented as ADHRSTA in the logic world is solved as a problem in kinetics domain area! Similarly, we have mathematics as a tool to capture the essence of infinity – the bedrock of ADRSTA concept. We have decimal, fractional numbers, golden ratios and any such number systems – known and unknown (yet to be discovered), of nature to help us resolve, capture and present infinity that can be used to resolve, capture and present the ADHRSTA concepts eventually. When we have known to tackle infinity, why can’t we tackle all that is ADHRSTA, eventually as we expand our knowledge areas? What we need to remember is that the scientist cannot ignore the spiritualist in him and vice-versa! The same example holds good in other areas of ADHRSTA! Remember my other blog on interpreting nature to get clues - https://www.mayoan.com/economy/15.-interpreting-nature-to-improve-an-economy ? The previous paragraph capturing a concept of nature, is also presenting a profound idea that ADRSTA can be resolved eventually! It helps if we have the knack to share the profound knowledge areas present in various subjects and domains and the idea on how they are interrelated, to one another to see which ones are the nature’s clues that will help us break the next ADHRSTA concept. The ideas that cross-link/relate one subject/domain areas to other subjects/domains are equally important as much as the original knowledge areas itself. We need to not only document these similarities but also explore about the other hidden yet-to-be-discovered-similarities. We have to anticipate the nature's preferences for concepts like symmetry, reuse, simplification, efficiency and effectiveness into our consideration. For this, we need high quality polymath’s – that too in large numbers to help propel our society into god speed in the progressive direction! Please refer to my blog on divine energy layers and soul states - https://www.mayoan.com/post/53-about-the-layers-of-the-divine-energy-part-3 and ( https://www.mayoan.com/post/the-3-imperfections ). As we go deeper through the prakruthi route or the individual soul route, eventually we will reach the divinity herself - that I refer to as the much revered Adi Para Sakthi - a very much alive and blissful divine manifestation that is the raison d'etre for all that exists! We cannot approach her like a lab test person but with tons and tons of respect and devotion. Then how should we know her true manifested nature? That I believe (this is my point of view) is achieved by attaining moksha or liberation - a process that will make the inquirer disappear and merge with the divine energy thereby making the knowledge gained thus as a purely personal experience only! - 58. About the Super Souls
Who are the super souls? These are the souls that has completely escaped the cycle of life and death and thus becoming free of the clutches of the ‘Law of Karma’ and the ‘Wheel of Time’. They are, sometimes, not in the less suffering heavenly realms. They are sometimes, not in any ghost/physical bodies. They have not yet merged into the divine energy due to a sense of responsibility towards fellow suffering souls. They have a sense of empathy for the other souls and want to help them get rid of the suffering. They descend down to earth to take avatars to set examples of living and thus provide teaching and practical examples for peaceful and useful living and for progression and development. Sometimes they may exist with other god-identities with tremendous ICCHA sakthi. (Please refer to https://www.mayoan.com/post/53-about-the-layers-of-the-divine-energy-part-3 ) Due to their relentless descending episodes as various avatars into the chaos of the modern world, to help fellow suffering souls, these super souls have enormous positive karmic load that it is not easy for any individual and group karmas to recapture them in the cycle of life and death. The trails and tribulations that they face in any avatar, can only reinforce their positive karmic load because they suffer for the sake of others in spite of not having any negative karma! We have to be careful about the avatars from the above. Sometimes, due to negative karma, a super soul may fall into lower realms to expend the accumulated negative karma. These falling angels are different from the diving angels that have empathy for fellow souls. We should all try to become a diving angel and not a falling angel! These super souls are on constant look out for a safe womb to be born in a decent (not necessarily rich) family that ensures honest upbringing and that which can provide trustworthy relationships including family members and friends’ circle. Imagine if they are accidentally born into a family of criminals and thus being captured again in the life and death cycle!! So, they are careful about the womb to enter and is not pressed for time and they wait patiently for the right opportunity. The decent family setting is an assurance of a safe platform, that will enable these super souls to achieve any goals and objectives planned for the avatar easily without distractions and deviations. Needless to say, to be born into a decent family/clan in itself is a heavenly gift indeed! Unlike these super souls, ordinary souls of all species are in a state of suffering due to remnant negative karmic loads and is also on constant look out for a womb of higher species that will help them expend their negative karma easily. In this situation, prospecting mothers have to be careful and protect their womb ( please refer to my article talking about birthing centres at https://www.mayoan.com/post/52-more-ruminations-on-the-soul-itself ) by careful planning and considerations. Sometimes, these compassionate and empathetic supers souls are considered superior to those souls that have merged with the divine energy (thus attaining mukthi) , because of their empathy to alleviate the suffering of the other less fortunate souls and the subsequent actions that they take in various avatars. - 57. Some Simple Ways of Expending Karmas
We have seen in my past blogs how the Karmic Engine grinds karmic debts to dust relentlessly and thoroughly accounting for all the souls of this universe. Perhaps, It is a juggernaut that can be matched in size and complexity only by the tireless spinning of the Wheel of Time! Is there no way out of Karmic Debt? Does it always bite back even if we have a strong remorse? I once read in one of the books the below story: There was once a man who was going on pilgrimage to meet his Guru residing in the mountains. It is a long and arduous journey and finally he reached his place and saw his Guru, sat before a yagna fire. After salutations and well-wishes, the man sat near his Guru by the fire. Suddenly, the Guru picked up a burning wood and rubbed it on the man’s back causing enormous pain and recoil! The skin was burnt, and the man was taken to a local hospital for treatment. He was crying in pain, and deep inside his psyche, suddenly a hatred grew for his Guru! He was resenting his visit to these mountains and for being probably taken for granted by a charlatan sporting as a Guru! He slowly drifted into sleep in his hospital bed due to the influences of the medicine. The next morning, he happened to glance upon the Morning Newspaper, and he saw that the bus he has intended to take to return to his home has fallen in a ravine and lots of people lost their lives! His Guru, by his divine vision, has just saved his life – perhaps! He probably has traded a burn wound for death on behalf of his disciple. This imagination is giving raise to lots of interesting questions: On the relentless debt collection by the karmic engine Offsetting our major karma by providing a substitution (breaking the monolith into manageable chunks) Converting sharp/intense karmic load into dull and long-driven karmic load Totally removing the effect of bad Karmas Doing continuous good things in anticipation of removing unknown and bad karmic effects Since the inner workings of the great Karmic engine is ADHRST to any souls, we cannot plan for each of the above scenarios aiming for accurate remedies. But we can be good souls and commit some actions from our side with a prayer to dispel our misfortunes. Remember, we can compare our existence in the karmic field to being in the middle of a 16 lane super highway where all sorts of vehicles of all sizes pass by and towards us in different speeds. What do we do to escape? How can we declutter this highway by collecting good karma? It helps to think that, sometimes, a true Guru may be like a accompanying boom barrier before you in those high speed lanes! Sometimes, a true Guru with his wisdom, may put you in a spot on this inevitable highway (perhaps in heavenly realms!), where there no or less traffic. The general idea is – to be good and be in the collection of good karma on a continuous basis. What can an individual do to collect karmic goodies that can offset negative karma? Some scriptures and old wisdom suggest some of the below techniques: Provide ‘Annadhana’ or food donation for the needy Provide ‘Kalvidhana’ or donate for supporting the education of poor people Donate or provide support to provide last rites of people who die as a orphan alone and in abject poverty Donate or provide support to eradicate poverty Donate or provide support for establishing a way of living for the needy Donate or provide for building shelters for those on the streets Donate or provide support for caring elders/orphanages Donate or provide support for disaster relief operations Donate or provide support for establishing faith-based institutions Provide time to educate the oppressed and those who cannot go to school Take efforts to spread true knowledge Take efforts to spread awareness Go on a pilgrimage with set goals Practice honesty and integrity Fight for justice Be in pursuit of excellence Practice, if possible all the 4 tracks - Bhakti yoga, Gnana yoga, Karma Yoga and Kriya Yoga (at the right age) Etc., What can a group do to collect karmic goodies that can offset negative karma? Establish good governments Design and implement people friendly policies Provide free education, healthcare, shelter and security Implement Universal Basic Income scheme Implement controls to clamp down on personal and business wealth accumulation, spread of wage ratio and for distribution of wealth Build institutions that support building of strong value systems Donate or support global initiatives like the UNSDG 2030 Promote global peace and stability Raise the nation in the measure of happiness index and by the measure of groups such as transparency international Promote peace over war Support honesty and integrity Fight for justice Be in pursuit of excellence Support extensively, if possible, all the 4 tracks - Bhakti yoga, Gnana yoga, Karma Yoga and Kriya Yoga It definitely helps to be a compassionate and decent global citizen as part of a compassionate and caring global power! - 56. About White Lies
The great sage Thiruvalluvar is the author of the ancient Tamil literary work – Thirukural. It is classified as ‘Ara Nool’ in Tamil and as ‘Treatise on the Duties’ in English and as ‘Dharma Sastra’ in Sanskrit. Out of the 1330 profound couplets present in Thirukural, the below Kural is also present as the 292nd one. Transliteration: Poimaiyum Vaaimai Yitaththa Puraidheerndha Nanmai Payakkum Enin A short meaning of this Kural is given below: ‘Even falsehood has the nature of truth, if it confers a benefit that is free from fault’ It seems it is OK to say white lies if it either avoids great harm or discomfort to anyone present in the context. What can be such harmless lies? Let us consider some use cases: Can we blame the leader of a nation, if in the best interests of the security of the nation, he lies to the public that defence expenditure is not very high when the truth is contrary? Can we blame the exaggeration of the scientists who are truly in the verge of a R&D break through in-order to secure some much-needed funding? Can we blame the rules of diplomacy that deliberately avoids sharp understandings to ensure some kind of tight balancing among the nations and their interests? Can we blame an economist who lies about the state of the economy in-order to keep the morale of a nation at war? A revolutionary philosopher may lie and escape in disguise to avoid capital punishment in a hostile situation. A white lie is defined as – ‘An untruth told to spare feelings or from politeness’. But the white lies referred above goes above and beyond this formal definition. They are serious but the larger context warrants their presence. The teller of such white lie has to consider the below points: Weight of the white lie Context of the white lie Impact of the white lie Audience of the white lie Time limits of the white lie Cost/benefits of the white lie Recovery aspects and damage containment if any If the white lies spawn any friendships or enmity Hari Om! - 55. About the Cosmic Justice System
We have so many justice systems that work in our settings in parallel and in unison and sometimes in complimentary ways– some as legally binding laws and others are organizational norms and some others are community settings and some more are just common sense and sometimes the personal value systems adopted by a person is also considered as part of this justice system. On a global scale, international laws, religious principles, globally accepted ideologies, definitions of a decent global citizen etc., – all play part in this conglomeration of justice systems – referred to as the Cosmic Justice System (CJS) which is also comprised of the Law of Karma. Yet, we still have this deep fear psychosis that – It pays handsomely to be on the criminal side of things – it tends to make one get rich quicker If there is a law of karma imposed on us by higher will, it seems to be non-existent or non-working or both Poor tend to get poorer and suffer and rich tend to get richer and experience joy One's hard work is being ignored, and his/her merits are being tossed away. One do not get his/her due recognition It is a very unfair world Besides all the justice systems mentioned above, the one crucial justice system existing is the ‘Law of Karma’ itself. What can be considered good and permitted by Law of Karma and what can be considered as evil and punished by the same Law of Karma is decided by the two primordial forces led by the Protagonist and the Antagonist. They subscribe to the different ends of the experience spectrum (Good and Evil), and we must strongly believe that the protagonist is winning and is setting the field of Law of Karma as per the outcomes of the war between good and evil with good decidedly winning over evil on all the scopes of the experience spectrum. The reason why we must believe that the protagonist is winning is because of the current state of the world that largely and in many explicit ways believe that being honest and behaving with integrity matters for both individuals and groups. The justice systems all over the world seem to align with the concept that everyone should be given the same opportunities and conditions (such as individual freedom, justice, well-being, freedom to go in pursuit of excellence and happiness, common laws etc.,) for living and all have the right to be in pursuit of happiness while not hurting or harming anybody or anybody else’s opportunities and conditions. This common justice system may need repairs in many places of the world (for example - as per the reports of Transparency International) , nevertheless the larger ideals of subscribing to the ‘Good’ and be a global citizen of high standards is established well in the psyche of individuals and groups in an irrevocable manner. In my article on the https://www.mayoan.com/post/49-the-field-of-karma , I wrote about the feedback cycle where harmful or good/individual or group outcomes plunge back in to the pool of karmic loads consisting of interacting individual karmic loads and group karmic loads with the individual karmic loads embedded in an ADHRST manner inside the group karmic loads. The great divine energy resolves this karmic debt in an accurate and continuous manner. This is as dynamic as it gets. This means that sometimes karmic loads (of interacting individuals and groups) in the current life can also materialise into impacts in the current life itself. This means justice will NEVER be delayed! The great divine energy resolves the karma for a fly that lives for a day or for a tortoise that lives for over 300 years ! Hence it is prudent to expect that justice will not be delayed and the law of karma alway gives it back! We should be mindful about the time it takes, only because of the complexity involving individual karmic loads and group karmic loads and their eternal interactions. Sometimes it may appear to be delayed – but it may be due to the group karma – for example in some places the governments may be corrupt and may not take strong action against criminal gangs like the mafia! So it is important that individuals turn out to be good citizens, but it is much more important that these ‘good’ individuals team up and install a ‘good’ government so that the justice system shines brightly upon both individuals and groups in a just manner and the appearance of ‘delayed justice’ is dispelled forever! God cannot solve all problems for you – all at once! The protagonist has won the war of ‘Good vs Evil’ and installed a Karmic Engine that favours good conduct. The protagonist has provided wisdom and faith. Perhaps he has enacted great avatars of epic proportions, in the past, to vanquish evil from several realms to prove that faith and goodness is prevailing and will be protected. He has played his part and you/we as individuals and groups have to play our part. The war of ‘Good vs Evil’ has spread across various domains such as ideologies, religions, other belief-systems, territories, power/wealth projections etc., As a result we have a common sense that is deep rooted in all good people that screams silently that we should not give up our faith and the belief, and in the well-being and goodness of all the souls in this universe. Let us say a person is tempted to commit a crime for a quick gain. The following is expected to happen – His good consciousness should stop him The mere presence of his good parents and teachers should stop him The proximity of his good friends should stop him The fear of being ostracized in the community should stop him The existing state and central criminal laws should stop him Fear of losing his livelihood and being imprisoned should stop him The promise of a good life with a decent family in a decent community should stop him The fear of Law of Karma should stop him Last but not the least – the fear of God should stop him So, if we look at the list above, God has provided several ways for us to adopt to reign in the evil and promote goodness. The direct action of God should be a catch-all – if everything else fails! Perhaps God believes in ‘Management by Objectives’ and ‘Management by Exemptions’ – because of the sheer number of souls operating in this universe. To aid in this in a fool-proof manner he has established and protecting a thriving CJS called the Law of Karma – that is unfailing and unrelenting and is covering all the actions of all the souls in this universe. And perhaps, it is not just a god but perhaps a hierarchy of gods that has establish this cosmic justice system(CJS) after their wins over the evil antagonists! And perhaps it is also true, that he is directly protecting those that remember him/her in their every day prayers. Perhaps in the beginning, the war was direct between the protagonist and the antagonist and over the period of time, it became a more of a mental war where they fought against each other for different outcomes by supporting their choice of leader-souls (perhaps, sometimes avatars too happened to this effect) over several intersecting domains such as ideologies, religions, other belief-systems, territories, power/wealth projections etc., But the ultimate aim for the protagonists was the same – to make goodness prevail over the evil ! From the learnings from the past wars between good and evil, the Law of Karma is continuously strengthened in favour of being good. These learnings can be such as – Progression and Development Governance systems, Constitutions, Laws and regulations Individual freedom, free-will, equity, inclusion and equality Traditions and customs Strategies – for war and peace Strategies for defeating criminal associations, groups and organizations Organizations and Acceptance of social groups – at national, regional and global levels Religions and other belief systems Philosophies and other bodies of knowledge such as science Concepts of sustainable living The concept of Vasuthevakutumbhakam The concept of in-pursuit of happiness and excellence So we can see clear proof as above that God is tirelessly working to strengthen goodness over evil. He is playing his part and is expecting us to play ours! Let us all strive to be great and decent global citizens in thought and deed ! Hari Om! Copyright © 2023-2048 Vijayabhaskar Natarajan. - 53. About the Layers of the Divine Energy - Part 3
There is some more scope to discuss the characteristics of the great divine energy and its manifested layers. I have tried to tabulate the additional information below: Divine Energy Layer Realm Common Names Loci of What does this mean in a Human? Adi Para Sakthi Realm of the God Particle (!) and Supreme intelligence Adi Para Sakthi (Eternal Mother) Divine Bliss and Supreme Intelligence, The sea of full spectrum of experiences God (Adi Para Sakthi) as Antaryami (God present in humans as part of being Omnipresent,Omnipotent, Omniscient, with infinite intelligence) Iccha Sakthi Realm of the will power of Prakruthi and Souls In Souls: Will power of souls when in-pursuit of excellence In Prakruthi: Will power of Adi Para Sakthi to create, sustain and end the universe, to run the karmic engine, development of evolutionary forces based on perceived intelligence In Souls: Soul (Karana Shariram) floating in a sea of dark energy and dark matter called MAHAT In Prakruthi: Manifestation of dark matter and dark energy and the karmic intelligence and any such apparatus not known at this point to us Human’s will power to project the best possible body-intelligence-mind-consciousness complex. Realm of Sensing the Tanmatras using the Consciousness Seat of Chittam and Ahankaram ('I am' feeling) Gnana Sakthi Realm of the Forces that science recognizes In Souls: Biological Forces (like evolution, cell division (DNA/RNA related), cell growth, cell cohesion etc.,) and Involuntary movements in bodies like heart beats, eye-blinks, yawning etc., In Prakruthi: Inertial, Vibrational, Elastic, Gravity, Chemical, Electrical, Magnetic, Nuclear forces, Quantum mechanics and any other combination or derivative forces of nature. In Souls: Seat of Sukshma Shariram (Ghost or astral body) In Prakruthi: Panchabhootas and its derivatives in the Sukshma form Human’s intent to gain capabilities and excel while in-pursuit of excellence. His ingraining of various value systems that define his persona. Realm of feeling and emoting using mind and sensing using the Gnanendriyas while dreaming Kriya Sakthi All forms of static/potential and kinetic energies In Souls: All actions through the Karmendriyas including the basic 3 - eat/sleep/sex , voluntary movements in the body etc., (Even basic 3 has Karmic influence) In Prakruthi: Natural forces like lightening, tornadoes, rain, gale etc., (group karmic influence expected) All man-made machines, and constructions like dam, grids etc., In Souls: Seat of Sthula Shariram (Physical body) In Prakruthi: Panchabhootas and its derivatives Human’s execution of his actions in his real life. Realm of thinking using the brain and acting via the Karmendriyas and sensing via the Gnanendriyas bi- directionally Though I have always referred to the divine blissful energy in an inanimate way in my earlier articles, I have seen some scriptures refer to her as a formidable feminine force (Adi Para Sakthi or Eternal Mother) with infinite potential and capabilities. It is my personal preference to align with this thinking. This is the true one God that I refer to as the divine blissful energy that is omnipotent (infinite energy), omnipresent (infinite presence) and omniscient (infinite knowledge and intelligence) and which can do anything. In my article on the human system of speech, I have explained how this 4 layers of divine energy is manifesting in the act of speaking a word - https://www.mayoan.com/post/33-the-vak-system-or-the-system-of-speech-in-humans . You can then imagine how this divine energy is manifesting in all walks of life in every species and in Prakruthi thus orchestrating the dance of creation and sustaining. At the apt time and for the right reasons, she can also destroy this universe. Between the creation and destruction events, she witnesses all the activities of all species in-pursuit of excellence there by creating new meaning for existence itself. When all the souls realize during their journey that they are part of this supreme energy and this means that they are God themselves, the great divine energy can wind up the universe in a peaceful manner to – granting ‘Mukthi’ to all souls which means a blissful merger with the Para Sakthi. She can grant ‘Mukthi’ to the deserving awakened/enlightened individual souls too. Please refer to my article on he great merge- https://www.mayoan.com/post/5-the-great-merge . Hari Om! - 54. About the Physical and Mental Exercises for a Spiritual Person
Nobody denies that regular exercising of mental and physical faculties are must for any humans. But our needs around physical and mental exercises greatly vary. The physical and mental training/exercises for -a US marine or - a SAS team member or - a body builder or - a heavy weightlifter or - a gym buff or - an athlete or - a common man greatly varies in range and varieties. Most of them are focussed only on the physical part. Besides, an aged person needs a different exercise regime compared to a young man. A spiritualist is a different person – He is an energy (great divine energy) loyalist! (referenced by a term called – Athmadehavadihal which is perhaps referred by the term ‘holy-ghosts’ in English). Most of the common men are partially or fully subscribed to this view because of their affiliation to various religious bodies that talk about being a good person and about going to higher heavens by virtue of inner good qualities and attributes. Which means that we are basically what we are on our insides – intelligence, mind, consciousness and soul! Hence the term – Athmadehavadihal, applies to the common man too. Some scriptures refer to other type of persons in other realms – called Dehathmavadihal. The closest related term to this word in English that I could think of is this term – Zombies! They probably have a less developed ghost body and even less developed chakra system! They are ‘mass’ loyalists and not ‘energy’ loyalists. Though I do not consider myself to be a full-fledged spiritual person, my quest to know is fierce and undying. I think a highly spiritual person will be focussed on strengthening his ghost body, chakra system and his soul as he ages. So, he is perhaps knowledgeable in the area where, - during the young age, he is focussed on gaining physical and mental strength - during the aging process, he transfers his physical strength to his ghost body (with the help of some yogic techniques and food discipline) - during the dying process, he is transfers his ghost body strength to his soul! – May be this is automatically done as a natural process! A knowledgeable spiritual person hence may be having the following objectives with respect to his mental and physical strengths– - He is focussed on gaining more Iccha Sakthi and not just Gnana Sakthi or Kriya Sakthi - Hence, he is greatly oriented towards holistic development – physical and mental - He will do things that will enable him to be supple and mobile till his very death or ripe age - He will give as much importance to his sacraments and rituals as much as his physical(yogic) regime and meditation practices. Below may be the physical and mental exercises a successful spiritualist can adopt. This list is not exhaustive, and this list may vary as per aging too. Physical Exercises (Please refer to the links in references and the internet for knowing more as I do not want to describe what has been described many times by others): 1. Basic strength training and endurance training and extensive practice of Hatha Yoga 2. Postures like Surya Namaskaram (part of Hatha yoga), to keep the limbs supple and highly available contributing to long term mobility and stability. Mental Exercise (Please refer to the links in the reference section for more information) I think, kids younger than 14 – need not take up meditation as a practice as their synapses and brain and body growth is happening at a tremendous pace. 1. Mantra chanting, watching flame etc., (suitable for older teens and common man) 2. Some advanced meditation techniques described in the links can be practiced with the help of the right gurus and practitioners (suitable for common man) 3. Kundalini or raja or kriya yoga– (for the spiritual person – definitely not for common man) We know that an ordinary person feels, thinks, emotes and senses. But how does a person feel the soul which lies behind all of these sensations and consciousness? The kundalini is a life force (visualized as a coiled serpent initially lying in the coccyx area) which when raised through transcendental meditation techniques will pass through major chakras and gives us a sensation of the soul and its potential. Kundalini awakening leads to higher and finer sensitivities and sensations. I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to gain this kundalini knowledge from a very learned and knowledgeable guru only ! If this kundalini practice goes wrong, it can lead to perhaps life long issues (as described in the book in the reference section). So, if you are a typical 9-5 person or any of those typical stereotypes - stay away from kundalini yoga !! - 52. More Ruminations on the Soul Itself
We tried to explore about the human construct in my blog at - https://www.mayoan.com/post/11-the-construct-of-a-human . We also dwelled deeper into the other parts of the human body-mind-consciousness complex. The final part of the puzzle is to understand about the soul itself. One of my earlier article talked about some of the higher level functions of the soul - https://www.mayoan.com/post/39-chittam-or-the-impressions-of-the-soul . Soul is also used by the law of karma or karmic engine for accounting the karmic debt. The law of karma then helps the soul to dispense the debt by allowing it to be born in multitude of shapes and skins. We now come to one of the profound questions in spirituality - Are the soul or the ‘Karana Shariram’ of all living things the same? I thought about it and my understanding is as follows. Though by the basic structure it looks like a sphere or ‘Bindu’, a soul, it may vary in size and quality. I am listing down some of the considerations that drove me to that conclusion below. Please note that by different live forms and expected functions, the soul may differ in size and quality, but in a given single species, at least in a higher species like human, there will not be difference in the soul construct between the male and female specimens. The soul, for a decent human, is usually located in the Anahata Chakra area and is expected to be the size of his thumb. But for an elephant, the soul is expected to be bigger – may be like a football. Does this mean the elephant is an advanced organism than human? That is where I beg to differ and is considering the prospect where besides the size there may be other attributes like characteristics, quality and potency. Within a single species, be it human or elephant, the souls may vary in their characteristics, quality and potency within a range, - a range (currently this is ADHRSTA) that ensures that it is taking shape as a human or an elephant and not as something else. For example, how the characteristics, quality and potency of a soul destined to be born as an elephant pushes to form the digits of the child elephant's limbs may be drastically different from how characteristics, quality and potency of a soul destined to be born as a human pushes to form the digits of the limbs of a human child. The female elephant gestates about 22 months before giving birth whereas it is about 10 months for a human. Besides the motherly nourishments, a soul uses its characteristics, quality and potency in the given gestation period to complete the normal expected development of the offsprings – as the elephant calf or as the human infant. I am quoting about Dharma from wiki - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dharma . The concept of dharma was in use in the historical Vedic religion (1500–500 BCE), and its meaning and conceptual scope has evolved over several millennia. In Hinduism, dharma denotes behaviours that are considered to be in accord with Ṛta—the "order and custom" that makes life and universe possible. [note 1] This includes duties, rights, laws, conduct, virtues and "right way of living". Dharma is believed to have a transtemporal validity and is one of the Puruṣārtha. I have written some content about the human living dharma in my articles on the value systems. Considering the vices of the human species, I think the below are randomly happening. 1. It is usually impossible to see a physically or mentally handicapped elephant or other such noble animals or in other species. Their brains do not deviate from the expected personality traits, and they abide by their expected living dharma mostly. This inherently protects their wombs and thus souls of the lower order species cannot take refuge in say, an elephant’s womb. 2. If by some means, the soul of a lower order (or some low quality soul of the same order) species enters the womb of a higher order species like that of an elephant, it may not have the characteristics, quality and potency of an elephant's soul but the mother elephant tries to build an elephant out of it in its womb. The long gestation period may save the day in completing the form, but when it comes to the mental capabilities and the newborn may be severely underdeveloped leading to abnormalities at birth. Far worse things, like missing limbs, physical deformations, other congenital defects etc., may also manifest despite long gestation periods. So, I think it is important that each species respects its living dharma and keeps a check on its vices and thus not lose its inherent characteristics, quality and potency. Please note that in humans, other causes like the mother consuming drugs or meeting with an accident or parents having defective genes etc., may also cause damage to the child in the womb. 3. Like it or not, the universe may be still in its nascent stage and there may be more lower order species than the higher order species. The pressure to be born and dispense the karmic debt is enormous and hence these souls are continuously looking to be born in a womb that is higher and finer as compared to its current form. All the higher order species, including the humans, should take precautions when planning childbirth. This is besides the fact that there may be some default protection provided by the universe in this process. 4. Considering the above, how can the childbirth in a human be planned? It is not just a 10-month journey ending in an unexpected rush to the emergency rooms of the hospital. It should be broken into 4-10-3 months journey to plan, get pregnant, nurture, give birth in the right way and finally heal. The couples trying to conceive should align to Sattvic living and surround themselves with the best environment leading to a blissful mental state during their attempts to get pregnant. Once they are ready to conceive, at least in the knowledgeable advanced societies, they together should be moved to what I call as ‘Birthing Centres’ and given the best possible care leading to expected pregnancy. The initial 4 months stay in birthing centres is to get the pregnancy started. This stage may take less than 4 months too. The next 10 months stay is for the child to be nurtured and protected in the best possible environment and the final 3 months is for the recovery of the entire family – mom, dad and the infant. A final note on the soul is on the process of death. Please refer to my articles on types of death and https://www.mayoan.com/post/43-3-types-of-deaths and the Panchakoshanas - https://www.mayoan.com/post/26-the-panchakoshanas-or-5-sheaths . The best death is the one I listed as ‘Internally induced Death’ in my article. The 3rd layer of human construct – called as ‘Pranamayakoshana’ - within a minute mostly, recedes into the soul, causing this type of death. We might have seen a speaker at a podium, in the pink of his health, suddenly collapsing and passing away for no apparent reason. The reason may be that his time has come, and his karmic debt is finished for the current journey and the pranas of the Pranamayakoshana has quietly receded into his soul propelling him for the next phase of his soul’s journey! - 51. 4-States of Human Consciousness
As per some ancient texts (Upanishads), there are 4 states of human consciousness. I qualify it as human states because I do not have knowledge about similar states in other species. These 4 states are also represented in the OM symbol as below. The different names and attributes of these states are given below: S. No NAME MEANING ADDITIONAL CONTEXT 1 Jagrani Waking State Conscious everyday experience 2 Svapanti Dreaming Sleep State State when we are asleep and dreaming 3 Shusupti Deep Dreamless Sleep State State when we are in deep dreamless sleep 4 Turiya Transcendental State State when we are self-aware and transcendental Let us look into these states a bit more: 1. JAGRANI (also called as VAISHVANARA) In this state, the human will be fully involved in the karmic activities of the world. He is self-aware and both his Karmendriyas and Gnanendriyas are processing inputs from the outside world and generating appropriate reactions. 2. SVAPANTI (also called as TAIJASA) In this state, the human is in his sleep state. The Karmendriyas is shut-off due to sleeping. The Gnanendriyas is open to inputs from the dream-world (built by his mind during sleep, using his memories and impressions) and will generate appropriate reactions. We can also note that a person cannot think in his dream as this world is created in his mind realm and not in the brain (or thinking) realm. Sometimes, the reactions are so powerful that it activates the Karmendriyas of the sleeping human. For instance, suddenly the person asleep, wakes up with a scream after a nightmare. 3. SHUSUPTI (also called as PRAJNATMIKA) In this state, the human is in his deep state sleep. Both his Karmendriyas and Gnanendriyas are shut off. It is said that biologically/psychologically, in this absolute state of rest, the body and mind heal itself at a rapid pace. 4. TURIYA This state is also called as the transcendental state. This is beyond the human mind-body complex. This is as if, the self-awareness is shifted to the soul itself with the observing capability while at the same time forgetting the mind-body complex completely. This state is achievable only with lots of discipline and meditation while leading a life full of honesty and integrity that will ensure peaceful quietness at the soul level. For normal humans this functions as the seat of soul ensuring self-awareness during JAGRANI and SVAPANTI states. It is impossible to ignore the veil of maya when discussing the 4 states of human consciousness. Please refer to the blog - https://www.mayoan.com/post/the-3-imperfections . The first three states happen in the human mind-body complex of normal humans and hence it is possible to say that it is under the influence of maya (illusion or the 2nd imperfection). As a accomplished transcendentalist, a noble soul would have cleared the above illusions and is possibly centred in its pure natural blissful state. I refer to these souls as advanced, great, and self-aware souls and they are possibly existing as great gurus in their communities. Sometimes these souls after their death would have escaped the birth-death cycle altogether and would be waiting to take birth in-order to help humanity undo its sufferings. Besides, the current taxonomical system of classifying animals and plants based on external physical attributes may now be expanded to consider their inner construct as well covering their brain arrangement (centred on physical body and thoughts), mind (centred on astral body and feelings/emotions) and consciousness (centred on related inner constructs like Pranamayakoshana in humans and sensed tanmatras) and soul (centred on karana body and stored impressions)! That way we will have more knowledge on the ascendence and descendance paths of reincarnating souls. How strange it will be if a accomplished human, upon his death, reincarnates as a house fly in-pursuit of excellence!! Hari Om! Copyright © 2023-2048 Vijayabhaskar Natarajan. All rights reserved
- 50.Neti-Neti - Part 2 - More on the concept of ADHRSTA
We have seen about the concept of Neti-Neti - https://www.mayoan.com/post/35-neti-neti . Also , I have written about the in-pursuit of excellence as a human endeavour at - https://www.mayoan.com/post/16-the-experiences-throughput & https://www.mayoan.com/post/36-the-experiences-throughput-part-2 Life, if we have to sum it up – It is about collecting experiences and committing the great ones (so that others can learn and experience from it) among them while we are in pursuit of excellence with a heart of gold which agrees to all the good value systems (collectively called as Krishna consciousness) of the universe. In this grand drama, every single soul encounters the unknown in the background. We know that it is impossible to know all the unknowns on the day one or at any one point in life! We keep going! This unknown has many vivid colours. Some of contexts to explain about this thought process is given below in an attempt to make the reader understand the concept of ADHRSTA (unforeseen/unobserved) correctly: A toddler has many Neti-Neti zones that is continuously cleared when it grows as a normal child. Parents, family, neighbourhood, communities, sensory perceptions etc., imparts new experiences and learnings to the toddler, and makes it a little more intelligent living unit each passing day. There are many unknowns, -yet life is not incomplete for the growing toddler! A common man knows that the series of numbers are infinite, and he does not wait for the infinity to be resolved before using the numbers for his every day needs! There are many unknowns with the numbers, -yet life is not incomplete for the common man or the scientist or the mathematician! I have written about how universe itself leaves clues about its ‘unknowns/knowns’ as objects and attributes in this grand spectacle called universe. A spiritualist may take this as clue and see himself as a model of the universe. As a human he knows, there are many knowns & unknowns, but he also knows that he is ably endowed with sensory organs and sprit of learning and exploring that will help him to cross the chasm of unknown. There are many unknowns, -yet life is not incomplete for the blossoming spiritualist! A student after graduating from the school, looks at the myriads of courses offered in the universities. He knows that he has the passion to excel in studies and learn each passing day. But he also knows that it is impossible to master all the courses in a given lifetime and he has wisdom to know that the life is expecting him to possibly graduate into living as a husband, father, grandfather and as a retired citizen before the grand au-revoir! There are many unknowns, -yet life is not incomplete for the maturing young man! So, the concept of ADHRSTA (unforeseen/unobserved) s supported by the concept of Neti-Neti, is to be acknowledged and understood properly. It is not blindness per-se. It is a field of view that is not yet visible due to our known constraints such as space, dimensions and time. Considering an individual on earth, Does he know why there is something instead of nothing? Does he know the purpose of life and why he is here in this universe? Do we have clear sight into how an individual must organize and explore in his life? Does he have the necessary knowledge on how to integrate himself into the various value systems that he must adopt into? Does he have adequate knowledge about the ways of working in the universe? Does he properly understand the role of science and spirituality to guide him in his life? … Such questions above tries to address the basic things needed in one’s life. For that, I think we as an advanced civilization, have built a vast repository of knowledge and practices! We are not blocked by the things unknown in order to lead a decent life, while in-pursuit of excellence! But when we look at the largely unknown subjects of the universe such as with the concepts of space, dimensions, time, energy, mass, quantum space, etc., we know we are looking at the ADHRSTA realms of those subject areas and manifestations! We also know that the cosmos may have its little secrets in its objects of creation to give us the right clues when are unable to move forward. Similarly, as a spiritualist, we have the well-established concepts of thoughts and thinking, mind, intelligence, consciousness, tanmatras, impressions etc., yet we know we have much to cover. There are ADHRSTA realms in the mind/consciousness too. Even God/protagonist may have his limits of wisdom and knowledge. But as long as he is able to function as the preserver of the universe and as the progenitor, for the betterment of all souls and to ensure that the right justice is upheld, he should also be comfortable with the idea of ADHRSTA! He is also probably willing to learn for other's experiences. We need to keep moving and improving on each passing day. It is OK even if it is only a minor improvement from the previous day!We gain by self-exploration, established knowledge bodies, self-experiences and experiences of others. Even the protagonist may be doing this to dispel ADHRSTA as much as possible. For him, currently, establishing order and justice and promoting equality may be far more important on immediate terms than exploring the quantum or deep space realms or anything in-between! This is same like how a government prioritises public spending for security, education and health over spending on military and space research. Hari Om! Copyright © 2023-2048 Vijayabhaskar Natarajan.
